Tony graduated in French and German from St Johns College, Oxford. He worked as a copywriter and in corporate communications, before a stint at the BBC and what proved to be a long-standing relationship with the MEDIA Programme of the EU launched his career as a screenwriter and script consultant.
His credits as writer include Bergerac and the films Thacker (dir: Richard Spence) Going to Kansas City, and Lost Dogs (dir: Jim Doyle). He has taught script development courses in the UK and abroad – notably at the National Film and Television School – and is co-author with Tony Bicât of Creative Screenwriting (Crowood Press 2002).
